I don’t remember I’ve ever drank a wine that’s less than a year old. I’m surprised how much I like it. The aromatic profile is quite similar to the 2021 I tasted before with lime, yellow apple, pear, underripe banana, and light chalk, but rather expressive. Medium body and round flesh acidity. Finish with a saline touch. Don’t quite understand why the winery would grow Pinot Grigio on a prime Oakville vineyard. I meant they make outstanding Cab and Merlot from the site that can fetch far more money. — 20 days ago
Happy Father’s Day! PnP’d. Very similar to previous notes. Very enjoyable but restrained on the nose and palate. Lovely texture and depth. Amarone characteristics. — 3 years ago
Magnum. Purple color. Deep, dark fruit with that classic Napa sweetness. Baking spices and subtle oak round out a great wine. Nice depth and finish. — 10 months ago
This is the winery’s only bottling for which the fruits are sourced, yet it’s still really well made. Fragrant and lithe, this is quite feminine. Deft use of oak. Tremendously enjoyable just like the previous vintages I’ve tasted. — 2 months ago
1hr+ decant. Dark red color with extremely subtle maroon edges. Dark cherries, caramel, and subtle baking spices on the nose. Same on the palate with a nice sweetness. Medium depth and long finish. Rocks! — 6 months ago
Almost totally opposite of the Gargiulo G Major 7 Cab. Smoky, earthy, floral, barnyard nose with a huge French influence on the palate. Not a style for everyone but I loved it. Medium plus depth and long finish. — 2 years ago
