Touch of light orange pink hue…hint of strawberry, rhubarb, mushroom and forest floor. Just over 12 ABV but bringing enough weight to fool. 70% old vine Pinot and 30% Chardonnay blended due to fires snd smoke taint. Long, savory, grippy finish. 1971 they released the wine alongside 32 other Bordeaux wines and sassicaia came in first place it was the 1968 vintage and this is a more recent invention the third wine of this famous property. This is a blend of 70 Cabernet Sauvignon and 30 Sangiovese a very forward and seductive wine with red currents red plum fresh earth with fine herbs coco and tobacco spice. Very smooth and silky on the tongue with fresh red berry and plum fruit smooth round tannins and a good bit of that earth and spice through the finish. Finish 40+ excellent
