Great nose and light on the front but complex through the finish. Very nice cabernet franc. — 7 months ago
2014 vintage holding up extremely well. Smooth balanced from front to finish of red fruit and spice. — 2 months ago
I prefer reds over whites, but this chardonnay is very creamy and smooth. Well balanced and refreshing. — 7 months ago
Jarvis will always have a special place in my heart and in the wine scene. To believe this was first made my Will Javis in 8th grade as a science project is iconic. You can taste the difference in using fresh oak barrels. This Cabernet franc would pair really well with lamb chops or a ribeye, Camembert cheese, or even some fire roasted veggies. — 7 months ago

Ruby rust, medium body, fruit forward, plums and raspberries, feels young — 8 months ago
Deep yellow color and strong aromas of vanilla, stone fruits. Wonderful strong, rich flavors of vanilla, oak, with subtle background of citrus lending acidity to keep it light and very drinkable. Not too oaky or buttery, everything to love about California Chardonnay! — 4 years ago

Jarvis is a winery I will always have fond memories of due to visiting it many times so early in my wine journey. While I enjoyed the reds (especially the cab franc and merlot), their Finch Hollow Chardonnay (both the filtered and unfiltered) were standouts. My last bottle!
A youthful bright yellow in the glass. Rich and integrated aromatics of salted popcorn, lemon cream and honey roasted cashews. Tidal wave of flavor on the palate that borders on hedonistic but pulls back just before. Oak is in-play with some baking spices and honey helping round the profile. Acidity has faded a bit but these have always had good phenolic grip, an almond skin-like finish. This reminds me of a blend of Aubert’s SugarShack (Napa warmth) with Kongsgaard (texture and grip). Not getting any better, this is a window that I have to imagine the winery was working towards. Delicious. — 13 days ago
