Rich dark brooding nose of black cherry and spice. Follow through on the pallet w a hint of sassafras. Great length. Could use another couple of years. Too bad current vintages have reached unaffordable levels — 4 months ago
Can’t go wrong with a classic aged Red Burg with roasted duck. Great nose forest floor autumn leaves earthy balanced lovely profile and very long finish. Yum. — a year ago

An excellent white wine with crisp, dry, fresh pallet. Herbs and spices, we had 2015 bottle. Excellent with fish — 5 years ago
Amazing night with Louis Michel tasting his release of the 18 vintage — 7 months ago
2023 vintage. Another delicious Poulsard from Eric Thill. Typical light transparent ruby red colour. Delicate perfume of pomegranate, cuberdons, and flowers. Fresh, crispy red fruit, with light, velvety tannins and amazing length for such a light wine ( abv. 12%, which is slightly higher than the previous vintage). Very small production, a hard find, but well worth seeking out. — a year ago
A great #grenache based blend. A little thin on the mid palate. — 3 years ago

Saint-Bris “Chenevières” Sauvignon Blanc 2022
Chablis, Burgundy, France 🇫🇷
Reims, Champagne, France 🇫🇷
Overview
A vintage Champagne crafted from 50% Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier and 50% Chardonnay, showing the elegance and character of the superb 2018 harvest in Reims. A balanced Brut at 10 g/L dosage, it reflects both richness and freshness, with solid aging potential.
Aromas & Flavors
On the nose, vibrant lemon zest, crisp apple, and bergamot with green tea accents. With aeration, deeper notes of peony, cherry, biscuit, redcurrant, and honey unfold. The palate is expressive, velvety, and savory, with ripe fruit, fine bubbles, and layered complexity.
Mouthfeel
Rounded yet energetic, with vinous character and supple mousse. Richness from dosage is perfectly balanced by tension and freshness on the finish. Built to age, but already seductive now.
Winemaking Notes
Produced only in high-quality vintages, with a focus on extended lees aging. The 2018 vintage in Champagne was marked by ideal conditions—hot, dry summer with ripe grapes, yielding wines of both concentration and precision.
Food Pairing
A gourmet’s Champagne: pairs beautifully with sweet & sour canapés, exotic lightly spiced cuisine (roast hake with turmeric sauce, poultry kebabs), and can even stand up to richer flavors like black pudding with pineapple.
Verdict
A vintage Champagne of elegance and personality—expressive, velvety, and complex. A connoisseur’s favorite, with years of life ahead but irresistible today. 🥂✨ — 18 days ago
