Another delicious and super approachable 100% mourvedre from Ryan Pease of Paix sur Terre. For those who don’t know, Ryan has a friend who does all of the original artwork for these labels. Great operation there - do yourself a favor and check them out! — 4 years ago

Delicious. Cherry bark. Big but not huge. Wonderful with Italian. — 2 years ago
Inspired by Jim to drink our bottle of Ugni blanc and it did not disappoint, great balance and acidity, with hints of apple on the nose. — 3 years ago
This is actually Ryan’s “Been Away Too Long” bottling, a 100% mourvedre sourced from Denner. If you don’t know these wine, do yourself a favor and try a few bottles. In my opinion he makes the best pure mourvedre outside of France. Unlike most mourvedres, Ryan’s are elegant - more like a grenache - but with great depth of flavor. His wines are very approachable when young, but definitely put on some weight and depth with a few years in the bottle, so my rating will absolutely go up with time. Terrific wines from a small, excellent winery in Paso. Check it out! — 4 years ago
Berry sour candy on the nose, smooth berry on the mouth with a surprisingly light dry finish — 3 years ago
