Earthy, big bold and jammy. Notes of dark chocolate. Easy drinking with lingering finish.

Vanilla! Spice! Silky & smooth! Love! Love! Love!! — 10 years ago
Wow. compared at some point by an Italian sommelier like a 1990 Sandrone Cannubi Barolo this really is a fantastic wine worth exploring now and again in 5, 10 and 20 years. I know you will question the price for Santa Barbara county but this wine is a line in the sand. It’s one of the wines from the county that demonstrate the power and potential of Bordeaux blends from Happy canyon . Hope you have a chance to appreciate one of the the last 120 btls. — 5 years ago

Tanic and delicious. Good "crunch" but no after taste — 10 years ago
This is a very tasty Malbec from Santa Barbara County.
Deep purple in color.
Fruit forward and dry with medium acidity and a tangy finish.
Showing black fruits with chocolates, oak, light vanilla, vegetables, tobacco, spices and peppercorn. Tasty and interesting.
Easy drinking and spicy.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
14% alcohol by volume.

Full flavored but not super dry. — 6 years ago
The wine has a deep ruby color, very dark, with a nose sporting blackberry, clove, vanilla and light cedar notes. The palate shows more blackberry and oak spice with a smattering of cassis and a nice acidity. There are great tannins and a good grip, the better for pairing with any kind of meat you like. Calms beautifully second night open. — 10 years ago
