“I think I’m in love” - as Eddy Money sang it and this wine delivers it: a mature, awesome bouquet with a very regal big French-like structure - just not as complex or earthy. Ripe red fruit with a great on-boarding with some raspberry hints before descending slightly into a jammy tannin maze that has a nice crisp finish. I can’t believe it’s this good at this price point. Clear pale gold; fabulous aromatic complexity with quince, pears, grapefruit, crushed oyster shells and almond; fine, dry mousse; maze of flavors include dried stone fruits, candied ginger, roasted almonds and a mineral driven backbone (crushed sea shells on a pier after it rains).
