A nice raspberry nose... On the palate, raspberry, blackberry, tree bark, and earth... The texture here is really nice with powdery tannin... It ends a bit limp, but a nice glass nonetheless. — 3 years ago

Bodega Mendel is a boutique winery with an incredible story. Combination of 1928 Argentinian Malbec vines and other Bordeaux varietals provide a combination of sophisticated structure with enough complexity to keep the palate engaged. My favourite wine from Mendel. — 7 years ago

Delicious! I am an unabashed Semillon fan, but unfortunately don’t seem to get many. This has a beautiful nose of fresh ripe white orchard fruit, the waxy/lanolin thing, and crushed stone. Dry and long, it’s got everything in balance. Deep fruit, some clean underlying light minerality, and very nice acids — 2 years ago

On the nose; wet wool, white citrus, pears, some honey, pineapple, beautiful minerality, nice chalkiness, and yellow & white florals.

On the palate; the body is medium full, pear, some honey, pineapple, beautiful minerality, nice soft chalkiness, and yellow & white florals. Very similar to Loire and drinks better younger, yet will still age.
