The 2021 Le Trame is everything I hoped it would be. Intensely aromatic, silky and deep, with explosive fruit, the 2021 is a rapturously beautiful wine that captures proprietor Giovanna Morgante at her very best. Readers will have to be patient, as the 2021 needs time to be at its most expressive, but its potential is already evident from the very early going. Le Boncie could very well turn out to be Italy's next superstar estate. Readers will want to snap up these wines before that becomes apparent to the public. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, July 2024)

Sicilian red from Bad Roman. Medium bodied. Sharp at first, but good once it had time to breathe. — a month ago
The 2021 Nero d'Avola is spicy in the glass, displaying a woodland-inspired blend of mentholated herbs, shaved pine, mandarin and crushed wild berries. This is pleasantly sweet upon entry, with cocoa-tinged red berry fruits complicated by hints of sage and an air of lavender. Staining and potent, the 2021 tapers off with dramatic length, leaving firming tannins and notes of licorice to linger on. (Eric Guido, Vinous, June 2024)

Big powerful in your face red. Hot on the end but still balanced. — 9 months ago
A fresh blend of chamomile, wild strawberries and spice wafts from the 2023 Rosé di Morgante. This is soft-textured, with juicy acidity and crisp orchard fruits. It finishes long and full of zesty tension, leaving a tactile mineral tinge and hints of lemon zest. $18.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, July 2024) — 4 months ago
Oak, tobacco, plum, cherry, blackberry leather. Bold, dark fruits on the palate. Smooth and balanced. Enjoyed with pasta, red sauce, and Italian sausage.
