Olenik Chehalem Mountain Pinot Noir 2012

Gift from a friend. Ruby red, very good clarity. Aromas of strawberries to the max on initial pour. Fresh wood shavings and licorice as well. Red fruit flavors with eucalyptus and cough syrup character. Fruit fades quickly with its age, but decent acid and mild skin astringency carry through in the aftertaste. Two hours later, plum, cherry skin and spice flavors dominate. Give it time to come together. — 8 days ago

We went to the winery a few years and I fell in love with these wines. This is a deep color and mouth feel Pinot. Incredible. Had it with tuna and absolutely loved it. — 6 years ago
