Brown sugar and black, red fruits on the nose, powerful finish with the Rutherford dust. Last one from the cellar. I miss Oriel so much :( — 7 years ago
Big, tannic w/dark fruit black cherries, plums and a hint of tobacco! — 10 years ago
Very tasty. Quite balanced. Very much enjoyed over asparagus with @Bryce Wiatrak at Oriel. Almost mistakable for a delicious pastille-rich gamay hint not a bad thing I love gamay. Totally sippable and pleasant and dang! If you are doing Oriel do a bottle. I’m on a mission to get more folks into bottles. Wine is infinitely more fun shared! — 7 years ago
Proved me wrong about aged Nero. Quite nice. — 8 years ago
Deep, complex, excellent. In its prime, I'd say. — 10 years ago
Rich and vibrant. Fruity and light with both red and black cherries. — 10 years ago
This wine was bright and more youthful than its 2002 age. Deep purple in color and flavorful on the palate. Bonus was it stumped both Ray and Henrik! Thank you and good night everyone! (Exit stage right). — 7 years ago
Nearing the end of its life, but still delicious — 8 years ago
An Aussie Shiraz that shares more in common with the northern rhone than its native counterparts. Distinctly new world, but not overextracted, not overly alcoholic. Just simply tasty. — 10 years ago

One of the best. So smooth. What makes this oriel so great is the creaminess on the finish. It’s definitely tart, but the balance is perfect. — 5 years ago
