Delicious! Rich, strong chocolate and cloves, warm on the palate but not overly tannic. Love this wine, and very affordable. Would like to try with cheese or a good food pairing for maximum enjoyment. Definitely buy again. β 8 years ago
If you like buttery wines this is beautiful β 9 years ago
My write up was unfortunately deleted while submitting the wine as it was initially unidentifiable. In summary, itβs big and bold with luscious plums, dark cherry, and blueberries. Very well integrated but dominant leather, tobacco, black pepper and anise. This well age beautifully over the next 5-10 years. Itβs ready to drink now, but patience is a virtue. β 5 years ago
Blackberry and spice. Not a big umpph here. I imagine some silkiness will develop with more time in the bottle. β 7 years ago
Pinot Gris on the sweeter side. Good β 6 years ago
Blackberry bush with its thorns intact. Very lively. Rich. Amazing. β 7 years ago
Great red, but quite pricey. Would get it as a gift or for special occasions, not for everyday drinking. Exceptional wine though β 8 years ago

Bought 2 bottles of this single varietal Cabernet Franc 6 years ago at Perseus Winery. At the time of purchase I was specifically told not to open either bottle for at least 7 years. So here we are in 2020, and first bottle opened tonight and decanted for over 2 hours. On the nose, dark berries, graphite/pencil, leathery muskiness. On the palate, dominant notes of dark cherries, raspberries, and dark chocolate, graphite. On the back of the palate the moderate tannins have aged elegantly. There is some mild white pepper notes with black liquorice and herbaceous. However, as the hours passed the tannins softened and subsequently complemented the dark fruit and chocolate notes to a higher degree. Overall, this was worth the wait. A delicious and excellently crafted wine that still may not be at its peak. Will cellar the 2nd bottle for another 2 years. Served with another round of Filet Mignon, traditional Caesar salad and portabello mushroom. Cheers! β 4 years ago
