Slight bias cause it my cousin's vineyard in Portola valley but damn it's good on day two once some oak blows off. 2 acre vineyard near Rhys (alpine road). A little heavy handed with oak but actually well integrated at the same time. For the style it's really great.... wente clone perhaps? I'd have to ask but so typically California circa 1990s and very enjoyable as such. Super cool super limited. — 6 years ago
I had this as WOTN right up until we had the Nine Suns. Fantastic bottle. Super stoked that I also got to meet @David L and @Eric S and try both wines at the same time. My Carter did not just pale going up next to them but literally collapsed. These two were amazing and blew everything else out of the water.
@Rob Sternthal Need to stand it up for half a day. Decanted for several hours. 4/6 wouldn't heard it. Heavy sediment it. I've enjoyed several bottles and like them very much. One of the few things we disagree on .
Great bottle. 9Suns exceeded in my mind but ever so slightly. Great wine and even better company. Super fun night! Thanks for hosting @Gunja Gargeshwari and @David L and @Eric S making the long trip.
