Renewal — 6 years ago
This may be the first or second of Lizzy's wines that I can drink early. Most are too powerful to be opened now – and/or laying down for years. But this was made with good ripe Merlot as its 45% base. Totally balance and quite tasty. Can Sauv 30% and PV at 25% offer tannins and body. Glad I have more ;) — 7 years ago
On this Sunday night I have opened the 2013 Elk Cove Willamette Valley Pinot Gris.
On the nose you will get meyer lemon, white peach, cantaloupe, honey, ginger, spice, musk and minerality.
On the palate there is meyer lemon, white peach, ripe tangerine, anise, honey and crushed gravel.
This wine is medium bodied with a viscous mouthfeel and medium +acidity that has a long citrus minerality finish. Lets all look forward to the new year with renewed excitement and hope that this new year will be of hope and renewal. Please stay healthy and safe. Happy New Year to everyone. I am so enamored with this wine. My first tantalizing glimpse of Fingers Lake riesling has piqued my excitement for a new season. A time for renewal, for shedding my winter skin, for enjoying the crisp, fleeting tang of bliss wherever I can get it. The Seneca River continues on its merry path, sloughing off the heavy dregs of stagnancy and darkness. If the river can do it, so can we. I wish I could remember where I bought this, but now I can’t find it on the websites of my usual wine stores. “Wine not found” must have been sent to me from beyond. — 7 years ago
Perfectly balanced with present tannins but enjoyable. Some spice notes. Had at Craftsteak in Las Vegas , Nov 2012 in honor of love renewal. — 12 years ago
Trashed label both front and back, but the juice is Rutherford through-and-through nonetheless. Bought this at a local wine sale on a whim with mild concerns due to the visible condition of the bottle. Thankfully no flaws with the wine are present 👍🏻 On the nose rustic cherries, blackberries, and plums with eucalyptus, sage, and dust providing a lovely backdrop. On the palate this expression errs on a quasi-voluptuous side with a near-plush mouthfeel and a developing array of blackberry cobbler, holiday spices, worn leather, and tilled earth.
Community Question: Have any of the Premium Subscribers noticed an issue with their recently monthly renewal? I was charged for my renewal like normal but Delectable is not showing me as Premium. Whenever I try and re-subscribe it says I’m Premium already (which isn’t true). I’ve reached out to Support twice and they’re MIA. In light of both this strange occurrence and the influx of what I consider to be spam users on Delectable, I have an eyebrow raised 🧐 — 4 years ago
The 08 looking a lot fresher than the 2013 vintage we had on Friday. — 8 years ago
