Dorado. Brillante. Dulce. Seco. Fruto amarillo. Excelente. — 4 years ago
Ruby-red. A wild, intensely perfumed bouquet displays spice-accented red and dark berries, incense and smoky minerals that expand with aeration. Silky, sweet and penetrating on the palate, offering intense black raspberry, cherry-cola and spicecake flavors that show outstanding clarity and spicy lift. Hangs on with incredible tenacity on the gently tannic finish, leaving juicy red fruit and candied lavender notes behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, March 2019) — 5 years ago
Soft cherries and strawberries. Very delicious. — 2 years ago
Opening nose of fresh tart cherry and pomegranate turns to darker ripe fruits, with peppery and earthy undertone while retain the initial rustics character. Medium to full body that carries decent depth of flavors. Tight tannins.
A really good Mencia that I underestimated initially. — 4 years ago

Fedellos do Couto entry-level wine, 100% Mencía from the stunning Cortezada vineyard in Abeleda (Ribeiras do Sil subzone). Expressive, beautiful nose with aromas of red fruit (strawberry, wild berries), violets, pepper and some herbal and earthy notes. Light, bright and juicy. Mineral. Very easy to drink. — 3 years ago

Easy drinking Mencia (100%) from 35-80 year old vines from the the steep, vertigo-inducing Sil River hillsides. Atlantic, mineral and somewhat salty, lots of red fruit and some balsamic notes. — 5 years ago
A very delightful wine - delish. A nice up front flavor of dark/black berry, a bit of pepper and smoke. A beautiful dark ruby color. Was nice and smooth. Can't wait for day 2. A nice gift from my SIL for Christmas last year. Will have to find more. — 6 years ago
