There is a lot of oak on first impression but then a lovely hint of lemon and pineapple come through with some golden apple and a cleansing note of flint and wet stone. This is medium bodied and medium alcohol (13.5%abv) and very nicely balanced. Definitely new world with that ripeness but the minerality gives it added complexity. Medium length, a good value — 4 years ago
This wine has a faint yellow tint in the glass. It gives up intense herbal aromas, very grassy. The palate has a fresh acidity and is loaded with grapefruit and gooseberry, heavy on the citrus. The grassy, herbal feel carries on in the lengthy finish. Pair it easily with any sort of seafood, especially something fried. — 3 months ago
Excellent fruit/Berry tones with a dry super finish. — 4 years ago
This was good. It needs some time to open up and breathe for the full flavor to bloom. Once those sophisticated notes of berry, basil, and leather begin to tingle, I am reminded that Q3 taxes are overdue and the basement still needs formal radon testing. I will be having a second glass. Another good Aldi provision. — 4 years ago
Very mellow cab. Should pair nicely with anything. — 6 months ago
This wine is a medium-dark purple in the glass. Aromas of brambly cherry are adorned with anise, leather, pepper and clove notes. On the palate there is red fruit and oak spice with a savory coffee angle. The tannins are firm and the acidity is fresh. A lengthy finish leaves the savory aspect strongest. Pair with any beef or pork, or even a dish based in tomato sauce. — 2 years ago
