Hints of dark fruit, delightfully nuanced undertones. Great accompaniment to a delicious Chicken Sorrentino brilliantly prepared by my lovely wife. — 4 years ago
This is the Pompeiano Aglianico IGT. Yes the Vesuvius Pompei. And guess what? Yes there is a smoky mineral intensity to this. And a beautiful dark cherry fruitiness. In the mouth the Aglianico tannins are well managed and the balance is really nice. Astounding value. — 7 months ago

Some heft and hefty tannin from the aglianico; the piedirosso keeps it light on its feet. Had to drink some Napoli red with the New Haven style apizza. 2018 — 7 months ago
