A great introduction to different Spanish wines, this accompanied a mix of seafood and huge hunk of lamb. Very reliable and not overpowering, best with food though as you can feel it might be heady for light nibbles. Slight oakiness but immensely drinkable. — 7 years ago

Wow! Fabulous from very old Tempranillo vines in Roa Del Duero. The Esteban family maintains their 60 ha of vines meticulously using extensive biodynamic practices and precise winemaking. It shows in the wine. Black fruit and currants meld harmoniously with hints of tobacco, coffee, licorice, and mineral. The texture is rich; the concentration of fruit is dense. This is a seriously good bottle of wine that WS gave 96 pts. 2016 vintage on Feb 11, 2020 — 4 years ago

Classic herbaceous nose, honeydew melon. Grassy notes on the palate. What can I say, all New Zealand styles are pretty much the same, my favorite! — 9 years ago

100% Tempranillo from vineyards in La Horra, La Aguilera and Roa. Aged in oak for 8 months. Quite expressive nose with aromas of red and dark fruit, tobacco and some oaky notes. Fresh, strawberry notes on the palate. Balanced, easy to drink — 6 months ago
