One of the more impressive Brunellos of this era I’ve had recently. Surprised. Fruit, tannins, and structure still going very strong with several years left at least. — 4 years ago
Pepper, ripe fruit, super nice finish — 10 years ago
1997 vintage. Fruit is beautifully disguised as a restrained aroma of Rose petal. Otherwise dominated by secondary flavors of underbrush and roasted meat. — 10 years ago

@Jan de Weerd recently reviewed a bottle that sounded like it might be advancing quickly, so I decided to pull my last bottle of this. Luckily, it’s drinking beautifully. Gorgeous nose shows all sorts of complexity. Earth, roasted root vegetables, macerated dried cherry, warm gravel. Rich and soft in the mouth. Totally resolved. I can’t imagine this getting any more pleasurable than the state it’s in. There’s still some significant but soft tannin, but it’s so good now I wouldn’t wait any more than a year or two to enjoy. — 9 months ago
