Really explosive black flavors of cassis, berry and graphite. Maybe a tad fruit forward and less tannin than I expected and desire. Complimented with mountain rocks, leather and pine needle. But showing great at 9 years. — a month ago
Straightforward vintage features green apple, dandelion, green herbs, touch of guava and a lick of slate. Good for light food pairings — 2 months ago
A bottle as old as life itself. Birth year. Perfectly stunning condition. Still very fresh, rich and opulent with dark berries, dark coffee and slight spice yet drinks with incredible finesse and sophistication. Still young — 21 days ago
California AVA. Easy drinker with dark fruit but not much depth. — 4 months ago
Magnum from winery in early 00s. Perfect color and big, deep aromas of cassis, horsehair, menthol & sage and vanilla oak, A polished feel (new oak). Just smooth & effortless, hardly any tannin on the finish. No sediment! Shows liveliness of its younger years, big sweet fruit and slight alcohol (like old whiskey). Stunned it kept in perfect condition — 21 days ago
The first two glasses did little to nothing for me, but that opening shyness turns into an expressive full-bodied mouthful as more air gets on it. Very dominate notes of pastry, the creaminess of baked apple pie, marzipan and apricot run into the richness and depth of aged reserve wines. Still has a polished feel that takes away some needed acid. Have it with chicken or pork dishes — a month ago
Quality entry level German Pinot Noir. The fruit is dark and rich (currants, cherries) but not forward or dominant. Medium level and present acidity. Layered with black licorice and aging orange peel. A small touch of moist earth, bark and smoked spices. Would be interesting as a BTG selection — 3 months ago

An unassuming blend of fruit and power makes this a fun wine that’s not too complicated but suits its purpose. Comes across light with cranberry and red cherries, rocky soil and a little spine from old vine sourcing. Trollinger and Limberger. Should serve a little chilled — 2 days ago
