Have had several vintages of this now (surprised I haven’t reviewed). Classy, old world style syrah that ages well. Took an hour to open up.

Alder Springs vineyard produces all sorts of varietals in Mendo. Pinot, gamay, syrah, chard, trousseau gris and so many more.

Most of the fruit tastes light and cool. Not this, this is chocolate and licorice. Forest floor, black cherry and saddle leather. Will age well for another 10-12yr. — 9 months ago

Saint Joseph is making a strong move in the market right now. My partner in Terminim produces one that is both grounded and ethereal. You might get caught thinking it’s Burgundy. Grand Cru Burgundy.
