Last week was a combo of 4th Friday and Open That Bottle Night on back to back nights. Needless to say, the lineup between both days was full of heavy hitters, so I’m only posting standout bottles.
A really nice Rhône white courtesy of the tandem François Villard and @Donald Patz . Floral notes of honeysuckle, lemon, sea salt and soft pineapple. Waxy profile that I tend to get with these Rhône whites, showing thyme, hint of orange blossom and honeyed stone fruits. — 5 years ago
Saint Joseph is making a strong move in the market right now. My partner in Terminim produces one that is both grounded and ethereal. You might get caught thinking it’s Burgundy. Grand Cru Burgundy. Only made in certain years when François Villard deems the wine worthy of this supreme designation — 7 years ago

Have had several vintages of this now (surprised I haven’t reviewed). Classy, old world style syrah that ages well. Took an hour to open up.
Alder Springs vineyard produces all sorts of varietals in Mendo. Pinot, gamay, syrah, chard, trousseau gris and so many more.
Most of the fruit tastes light and cool. Not this, this is chocolate and licorice. Forest floor, black cherry and saddle leather. Will age well for another 10-12yr. — 11 days ago
