Clear, medium plus ruby to purple in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of blackberries, black plums, and tabacco smoke; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of blackberry jam, cassis, eucalyptus, and crushed gravel with a long finish. Ruby to purple in color. On the nose blackberries, chocolate, baking spice and slight hay. On the palate you again get the blackberries, blueberries, some leather, and bitter chocolate. I didn't find notes of pepper as you would normally find in California zinfandel. Very nice semi dry sipping wine. You really feel the 15% long after the finish when the tongue is buzzing. — 4 years ago
