Fourth of five fun, fantastic, and frugal wines for everyday drinking. The kind that are an unbelievably great deal! Rioja from a classic producer and a great vintage at that. This wine has that perfect red wine color, not too faded not too bright. The nose is perfect as well: red fruit, chocolate, oak, and good hints of tabaco and leather. Pure decadence on the pallet: big, broad, bold and a lengthy finish. For around twenty three bucks this is a no-brainer, decanting is not even necessary. Cheers. — 3 years ago
Fish Fry with Scheidells. 2022. — 3 months ago
Earthy and brambly; seems tight? but 8 yrs in bottle should be sufficient…. maybe there’s just not all that much going on. Underlying cherry and red liquorice, but very background. Perhaps it’ll open in a couple hours… — 5 months ago
