1994 Screaming Eagle. Dinner w J&L B and D&M H while staying with D&M in Santa Ynez. Opened and waited about an hour. Decanted right before serving. Tons of jammy dark fruit. Opened more in the glass. JB mentioned full palate and balance. Great finish. Preferred this to ‘91 Dominus once this opened up. — 5 years ago
2013 Lafon Mersault-Porusots. HB w Mark R and J&H R. No decanting. Didn’t try this one, but Jeanne really enjoyed it. Gave it a thumbs up. — 6 years ago
Wild stuff - big bold brash - you don’t expect that w/this varietal, but this had all kinds of body & texture. Austere nose til it warmed up then it was throwing aromas like lime peel, green tea, Granny Smith, kiwi - green things… plenty of acidity, mineral & resoundingly dry finish. Anomaly / interesting, not sure we loved it — a year ago
Great aroma, medium viscosity, light (can drink alone or with food). — 5 years ago
🎉 Happy Anniversary Mrs E 🍾
We had a hot tub in our room & Mrs E demanded champagne 🙇♂️🤣
This £125-135 NV Krug has really improved since a year ago as it was a little to sharp & acidic 😎 but now more rounded & will keep improving 😉

Hard not to go 94 here but with some time in cellar.
All the 22’s I’ve had to this point, stunning!
This is another amazing wine on entry. Elegant and all you expect and more at the level. Granny Smith apple, lime flesh w/ pith & zest, pineapple juice, white peach, tropical green melon, paraffin, waxy, excellent chalky powder, white spice, limestone powder, field of spring white flowers framed in jasmine, perfect acidity and a beautiful, well made & balanced finish that lasts nearly two-minutes and lands on chalk & spice. — 2 months ago
