Pale, bright orange-pink. Subtle aromas of red berries, flowers, spices and earth; I would have picked this blind as Pinot Noir but then it is. Offers lovely texture and concentration for rosé, with lively framing acidity and pungent mineral lift to its red fruit and floral flavors. Dark golden-yellow. The complex nose offers a curious but intriguing mix of macerated peach, aromatic herbs, capers and custard cream. Fresh and clean on entry, then delivers noteworthy tannic bite to the orchard fruit and saline flavors. Finishes with explosive lemony freshness on the long back end. Limpid yellow-gold. Vibrant, mineral-accented aromas of peach, Anjou pear, melon and Meyer lemon, along with a bright floral overtone. Juicy and densely packed, displaying a deft interplay of richness and vivacity to the citrus and orchard fruit flavors. Picks up smoky lees, honey and iodine nuances with air and shows excellent clarity and back-end lift. The 2014 Calon Ségur is a real show-stopper. Unusually ripe, powerful and seductive, the wine exudes class. Myriad shades of plum, sweet red cherry, pomegranate, spice and blood orange are all on display. Wild flowers, tobacco and host of more aromatic notes develop in the glass. Above all else, though, the 2014 is a wine of pure power and breadth. This is yet another fabulous showing for the 2014 Calon Ségur, a wine that vies for top honors in this vintage. Don't miss it. The steamy finessed intricate pink bubbles tease you as they dance around the glass hypnotising you to take a sip of the deep clear amber, shining copper & salmon love juice. The nose seduces with a powerful floral cherry red berry smokey soil leafy peachy brioche mist. Helplessly your palette succumbs to a smooth rich strawberry peach & red berry biscuity mousse caress that teases you to take another as the kiss lingers on and on. I thought the 96 pink DP was hot but this is X-rated! Drank in a Zalto Burgundy glass & decanted.

Cheesy fermentative overtones give way to a site-typical amalgam of fresh apple garlanded in honeysuckle and heliotrope. This is another of those Prüm Kabinetts that is watery in a positive sense of that word, combining watercolor-like transparency and wash of flavor with delicacy and refreshment. As with the corresponding Graacher, the finishing sense of wet stone and floral perfume is striking, and here a mouthwatering hint of salinity adds significantly to the appeal. this bottle is perfect for valentines day without breaking your wallet. the year 2004 is a little drier, suggest to breathe it around 20-30 minutes. this intricate blend of dark berries and notes of fine oak perfectly pairs with any red meat - especially pigeon. not only does it compliment your dinner, the taste is soft enough not to take away from your dish. very recommended for nice dinner. — 6 years ago
