Light and fruity, perfect with lemon cookies — 5 years ago
This was an odd bird for me... being from the bluegrass state; I like a good bourbon and I like a good red wine. I felt the bourbon barrel aging added a definite flair to the nose and flavor, with a spicy delectable scent and an oaky musk that, at first sip, rolls your tongue. It felt similar to the sometimes stern first meeting with a good strong bourbon, moving you to a softer backend that brings you down more gently than a prescriptive opioid. I would recommend this with some great dark chocolate chip cookies, or a fatty steak that’s had its ass smacked and slapped on your plate! — 5 years ago
Has a traditional champagne character even without the champagne name. It has slow zesty bubbles. Delicate breadiness. Great with quiche and cookies (can anyone say butter?!) — 5 years ago

375ml. A magnificent 30-year young Sauternes. Orange peel, molasses, caramel, ginger spice, and brown sugar. The intense flavors waltzed across the palate with grace and precision. Fresh, vibrant, and not as rich as expected. The finish lasts forever.
Paired with homemade chocolate chip cookies using Levain Bakery recipe and vanilla bean ice cream. — 4 years ago
