The 2017 Alpilles Rouge is flat-out delicious. Ripe, plummy and forward, the 2017 offers tremendous immediacy. If I didn’t know how well Trévallon ages, I would be tempted to set an earlier drinking window, but the best is clearly yet to come. Next to other vintages that display a good bit of ripeness, the 2017 remains medium in body and silky. Sweet red berry fruit, flowers, cedar and earthy notes lead into the vibrant, translucent finish. I hope I can capture just how captivating the 2017 is. The 2015 Moulin-à-Vent is a real showstopper. A burst of dark cherry, spice, leather, menthol, licorice and leather literally races out of the glass. The 2015 is an atypically rich Moulin-à-Vent, but all the elements are so well balanced. It has serious depth and the intensity to age for many years. I would not touch a bottle soon. Vacheron's 2019 Sancerre Blanc is classy, polished and pedigreed through and through. A whole range of bright Sauvignon Blanc aromas and flavors race out of the glass. Citrus, sage, tomato leaf and white pepper all grace this taut, beautifully sculpted Sancerre from Vacheron. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2020) — 4 years ago
The 2018 Bourgueil Jour de Soif (Cabernet Franc) is bold, pungent and racy. I very much like the energy here. Inky dark fruit, savory herbs, lavender and cloves give this dark, powerful Bourgeuil so much character. In the glass, the 2018 is dense and full of personality, not to mention incredibly delicious. This is a terrific effort from Pierre Gauthier. Best of all, it is a tremendous value. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2020) — 4 years ago
The 2016 Moulin-à-Vent comes across as a more subdued version of the 2015. It has tons of richness and power, but at the same time, it is bright, delineated and full of energy. Sweet red cherry, blood orange, white pepper, mint and spice all meld together effortlessly. Even with all of its obvious intensity, the 2016 retains striking translucence. There is plenty of potential here. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2020) — 4 years ago
The 2016 Clos de Vougeot is an exquisite wine. A burst of sweet red berry and floral notes make a strong opening statement. Delicate and lithe on the palate, the 2016 is such a sensual Burgundy. Clean mineral notes lend vibrancy throughout. I would prefer to cellar the 2016 for at least a few years to let the bright acids mellow a touch, but opening a bottle now is far from a crime. The 2019 Sec Clos du Bourg is a wine of stature and vertical build. There is real gravitas to the orchard fruit, spice and earthy flavors. Tasted blind, Clos du Bourg might be confused with a red wine such is its feeling of volume and structure. Far from an easygoing Vouvray, Clos du Bourg is a very serious wine. I loved it. In a word: marvelous. In three words: don't miss it. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2020) — 4 years ago
Richness and energy come together so well in the 2017 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru. Time in the glass brings out the wine's curves, but the 2017 is so young, especially when tasted next to some of the older wines in this mini-vertical. Lemon confit, marzipan and white flowers add that extra touch of inner perfume and sweetness that is so compelling in this vintage. The 2017 is such a promising Charlemagne. The 2017 Saumur-Champigny Tuffe is 100% Cabernet Franc done entirely in tank. A rush of dark cherry, plum, lavender, spice, menthol, rose petal, juniper berry and dried herbs makes a strong opening statement. The 2017 has more than enough fruit depth to balance its more savory qualities. Drink it over the next handful of years. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2020) — 4 years ago

The 2018 Saint-Bris Exogyra Virgula is one of the most distinctive wines in the range. Intense floral and savory notes give the Exogyra Virgula its deep, pungent signatures. Sage, mint, dried herbs and citrus peel are finely woven together in this crisp, bone-dry Sauvignon Blanc. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2020) — 4 years ago
