Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2014

Natural Brunello. You can taste the vintage, but it’s also weirdly fruit in a way Brunello’s never been. Probably my favorite yet!! — 3 years ago

Half bottle. Lovely! Thick and concentrated flavors of peach, marmalade, and melons. Glad I have another full size one a home. — 3 years ago

Le Crétacé Tavel Grenache Noir Blend Rosé 2019

Very nice! Nose of summer berries. Body shocked me a bit, a little heavier than I expected - but absolutely lovely! This will be a summer staple with grilled beef or smokey chicken. — 3 years ago

Chien Lunatique Syrah 2001

In the day these guys were Epic! I traded for this wine (Covid inspired) and on a particularly cold, blustery Chicago Saturday... we did big-ass burgers and left over Greek potatoes and green beans. Match made in Heaven! Haven’t seen a plastic cork in years... 16.1... Holy Shit! No sign of alcohol on the palate... did you get that? 16.1... no alcohol on the palate? Dark, rich, cloudy, chewy—classic black fruit, pencil lead, saddle-leather notes. Still alive and balanced. What a fun wine with food on a cold winter night. — 3 years ago

Le Chevalier de Sterimberg Blanc Hermitage Marsanne Roussanne 2017

Took a chance at buying a case @$43 a bottle and definitely not regretting it. Nicely balanced fruit with the usual tartness that will mellow and integrate in the coming years. A touch of honey and a lot of fruit; very enjoyable to drink. — 3 years ago

Riserva Montestefano Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2015

Excellent, deep, dark and fleshier than some of the other single vineyards. Young. — 3 years ago

Cuvée de Trois Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2016

This is my ideal Pinot noir: light, acidic, a little spicy, red fruit — 3 years ago
