Vaso

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Very early for this vintage. Tannins have not yet begun to soften and integrate with the fruit and acid. Development seems later for this vintage than other vintages of VASO at this stage of bottle age. Still a good wine with aging potential. I will not open another for 3 years to see how it is shaping up. — 2 years ago

San Giorgio

Ugolforte Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2015

On the nose cherry, violet, rust, forest floor and complexity. Very smooth acid with soft tannins. Tart but fruity for Italian. Absolutely well balanced and delicate. — 2 years ago

Russian River Selection Pinot Noir 2018

Amazing nose. I smell berries and floral notes. Would pair well with anything. We served it with ahi tuna tartare. Vintage 2018. — 2 years ago

Vieilles Vignes Chablis Chardonnay 2019

The aromatics are a punch in the face fantastic. If you come across this it is so worth trying. Great price for now. — 2 years ago

Pieropan

Soave Classico Garganega 2020

Underripe pomelo, lime pith and crushed gravel on the nose, such a silky yet bright and citrusy mouthfeel with a graceful almond skin minerality!! So refreshing! — 2 years ago

DuMOL

Wild Mountaineside Russian River Valley Syrah 2019

This bottle did not disappoint. Bursting with berries and earth on the nose. Very well balanced and held up beautifully with a steakhouse dinner. But, wait five years and this will be special. — 2 years ago

Château Léoville Poyferré

Saint Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 1995

Great concentration, black cherry, underbrush, clay, minerals, tannin fully integrated, licorice, sun dried tomatoes, still going strong, but no need to wait any longer. — 2 years ago

Taittinger

Comtes de Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne Chardonnay 2008

Perhaps the best champagne we’ve had this year. Tightly-wound, but many many pleasures to be had. Hazelnut, brioche, and, as it opens, a hedonistic buttered popcorn note. Nothing out of place. Simply fabulous with years to go. ❤️🥂 @Geoff Franz — 2 years ago

As near a perfect champagne as I've ever had. This is neck and neck with 2008 Cristal for me, but a different profile. Just beautiful and giving. The polar opposite of 08 Krug.
