Paul Jaboulet Aîné

Domaine de Roure Crozes Hermitage Syrah 2016

Brilliant Purple and ruby color. Medium viscosity. Jaboulet domaines know how to make great Syrah..and this is no different. on the nose, you get delicate layers of red and blue fruits, bacon, violet, spices, wet leaves and crushed rocks. On the palate, this wine is dry, medium plus acidity, medium plus body, silky, round medium tannins and medium alcohol. You can’t miss the beautiful and powerful mineral/granite overtones. Super well integrated and long savory finish. Complexity in harmonious brilliance..this is a treat! (Decanted for an hour) — 4 years ago

Vincent Dauvissat

Vaillons Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay 2014

First day was more honey than citrus with a loamy mouthfeel and oxidized finish. Second day was knife-sharp lemon acidity, but still somehow in balance. Stunning to think this is the same grape as a million other Chardonnays, this feels like wine at a very high level. — 4 years ago

Le Clos Chenin Blanc 2015

Slightly oxidized notes give way to orange grind notes. There is a hint of honey and a zing of lemons.. nice mid palate and finish . Very enjoyable — 4 years ago

Still the favorite Pinot. Perfect in every way. Earthy and just the right amount of fruit. Light but interesting and had depth. — 4 years ago

Columbia Valley Cabernet Franc 2014

Wine had crept up a cork a bit. Drinking fantastic! Smoothed our quite a bit but still has just enough of a kick at the end. — 4 years ago

Domaine de Triennes

Vin de Pays du Var Cinsault Blend Rosé 2019

On this Sunday night the start of a new work week I have opened the 2019 Domaine de Triennes Rosé. This wine comes from Nans-les-Pins, France located between Marseilles and Toulon North of Bandol. This is a blend of mainly Cinsault with smaller amounts of Grenache, Syrah and Merlot.

On the nose I am getting red rasberry, cherry, tangerine, pomegranate, red currant, musky melon snd floral notes.

On the palate there is raspberry, tart cherry, strawberry, nectarine, a spiciness and good minerality.

This wine is pale pink onion skin in color, light to medium bodied with medium + acidity tuat moves into a long crisp fresh citrus finish. We are looking at a new week ahead and I wish everyone a safe and healthy prosperous week. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷
