Ripe, with vivid blueberry and boysenberry fruit, harnessed on the back end by a bold graphite edge. Anise and violet notes add range. Drink now through 2019.
Food:
The peppery components of this 100% Syrah based Côtes du Rhône pairs well with spicy BBQ and grilled meats, roast pork and aged, hard cheeses
==============
The Saint Cosme Côtes du Rhône Red is a deep plum with violet reflections. Aromas of bright berry fruits and licorice give way to a medium bodied palate with elegant flavors of red currant and gingerbread.
Wine Maker:
You may get to know the 2015 vintage through this wine – the oxblood colour, the depth, sappy character and wonderful round tannins for instance. You can easily sense the intensity with which fruit was imbued in 2015, a truly superb vintage. Successfully ripened grapes combined with freshness and our Syrah vines loved a hot July in 2015. This is exemplified in the magnificent wines produced in 2015 in the northern Rhone valley. The whole point of our Cotes du Rhone is to offer an early drinking wine that also has very good ageing capacity. I recently tasted the 2007 again which was really complex and still young. Welcome to 2015, the finest vintage since 2010. Blackcurrant, camphor, truffle, rose and blueberry. — 7 years ago

An amazing wine at a good price. This is 2nd year that this Riesling has made Wine Spectator's Top 100 list. This vintage was #43 and was rated 91 points. I love this wine with a meal or to just drink with a friend. I have 4 bottles on hand. I urge you to try this. — 10 years ago
