Decanted and tasted over 24 hours. The wine remained so tightly wound for the whole period, however, it's precision faded the last 2 hours. Tasting it every 1-2 hours, the wine's structure took on many personalities but the fruit always stayed with a sweet red and blue fruit quality. By the 23rd hour the fruit began to fade. This wine needs some bottle aging. #barolo #cannubi — 9 years ago

The 2010 Cannubi is like a clenched fist, crazy tight but with decanting relented some. Wait another 3 years easy on this one, 5+ is ideal.

A 3 hour decant with a large surface area and then decanting back into the bottle is the best way I have found to drink this wine. Still needs about 5 years of cellaring though. #cannubi #barolo — 9 years ago
