Medium intensity on the nose. Coming from this sub-appellation should be more elegant but I found it to be quite rich but still quaffable! Hints of sweet tobacco, marjoram, blossoms lead way to ripe red fruits like cherries and plums. I could detect the oak from vanilla and cedar flavors which did not make me fall in love with this wine. On nose seems very much like dessert wine with dried apricots, candied citrus and flowers and a bit of funky rubber but on the palate it is extremely dry with a lot of power (slightly too much for me 14.5%! Alc). Beautifully fresh with super long finish with spices, apricots, almonds and candied ginger.
