Much belated Christmas wine post 🥳 this was super lovely .... of course it could stand a little bit more age on it but it was honestly very approachable and a perfect foil to osso buco ... it did have this very particular cocoa powder meets dry leaves thing on the nose I’ll be curious to open another bottle and see if that’s a terroir thing....

Classic Nebbiolo nose but emphasizes more on rose petals and dried red fruits. Light, ethereal on the palate, very easy drinking and soft.

Strangely upon opening quite an oaky nose - blew off but wine felt a tad “hot” despite 13,5% alcohol! Enjoyable balance though between the power and finesse of Nebbiolo!

Mushroom, forest floor, sour and dried cranberry, stewed strawberry, sun dried tomatoes, mint, violet and lavender. Elevated acidity and fine tannins. Medium+ body. Medium+ finish and intensity.
