Excellent for $9.99 at Costco. A little more heft on the palate than other Gamays but still light and vibrant; strawberry and raspberry, slight citrus ting, slight minerality; great mouthwatering acidity #casebuy — 8 years ago
I haven't tried many of Kirklands wines. I've read many are good but it seems like there are others that I'd rather drink at the same price point. Regarding wine events, not often. Once or twice per year I will attend a wine dinner at the City Club in downtown when a colleague certain hosts the event.
Understood. Fort Worth usually has a very impressive wine scene, and you can often take part in them for free. Cadillac Wines (at the Frank Kent Cadillac dealership) and Put A Cork In It (off Park Hill near TCU) usually have a few miscellaneous events during the month. Cadillac has a Far Niente event next week for $10/person and Put A Cork In It has weekly tastings for free. Just an FYI
Thanks Shay! I'm familiar with both and appreciate what Put a Cork in It does for the local wine scene. Work and three kids usually preclude me from experiencing more than popping a cork at the house but I'm always open for new opportunities!
