The White Coat California Grenache Blanc Blend 2018

Crazy thing about this wine was it’s complete lack of aroma. So much so that it made me realize I had completely lost my sense of smell and should probably get a Covid-19 test. Sure enough! Like so many things, Covid ruined the experience of this wine. Cheers to being asymptomatic otherwise!

Last had a bottle a few years ago which I poured blind for a wine tasting class. That was spot on varietal. This bottle is more tired.
Pale amber. Hints of green fruits, some toasted fenugreek seed, sesame oil and more savory tones than fruit (note 11 year old SB from Italy, 😘). Good w asparagus risotto, but feeling its age. Good to have opened now.
