The #German#dry wine industry has learned a lot in the past two decades and one aspect is how to deal with #Rieslings innately high acidity. #1997 was a very fine year throughout the various regions, but this is drying out and was clearly not intended for long-term aging in excess of 10 years. It made a decent partner to food, but not as a straight sipping wine. A modest amount of residual sugar would have created a more balanced wine. #LangwerthvonSimmern#RauenthalerRothenberg#Riesling#Kabinett#Rheingau — 9 years ago
