I’ll lead off the 2015 vintage for delectable for Passorosso - one of the few standard bearers for entry level Etna Rosso - a blend of vineyards that are usually 75+ years old at close to 800 M asl - 2015 is not as concentrated or meditative as 2014, 2012, or 2011, but this a perfumed playful wine with classic Etna cherry followed by a mineral backbone with some funkity funk to finish. #volcanicfunk — 7 years ago
GR and Graci are duking it out for best non traditional Etna Rosato. Incredible mid palate weight and so mineral drive. #volcanicfunk — 7 years ago
I feel like I'm killing a baby with this one but wow - it was 35€ on a local restaurant list - (although I'm pretty sure I asked for the lower altitude, less prestigious Contrada C which should be at a lower price point). This wine is from a ridiculously great vintage - from Franchetti's highest Cru - 1000 m ASL with 100 year old vines - aromas of sandalwood, rose, earth, and overall really just volcanic funk to the max. Incredible 🙏🏽🍷🌋 #volcanicfunk — 7 years ago
See previous note but 2015 brought that funkity lava rock funk I was hoping for! 🍷🌋🙌 #volcanicfunk — 7 years ago
For an “off-vintage” on Etna, this puppy is drinking incredibly well - oscillating #volcanicfunk with roses, ripe cherries, and playful tannins that are DTF — 7 years ago

We want the funk. Gotta have that funk. Really drinking well for a baby. #volcanicfunk — 6 years ago
