A Tribute to Grace Wines
Hofer Vineyard Grenache
Cucamonga Valley! Just a shade darker than Rosé. Not profound, but elegant and a joy to drink.

Feb 8th, 2019In a fascinating place. The nose hits most Grenache notes. Raspberry laced with herbal notes. The palate is wild. Shows those fresh red berries, but has a secondary savory/umami note along with some persistent tannins. Still as nimble and easy as all the Grace bottlings.

Aug 26th, 2017I love these wines. Very light bodied, good acid. A smokiness to it which worked well with the 30 day aged New York steak from Marin sun farms. It has a fresh raspberry flavor that makes it nice and tart.

May 29th, 2017I love @Angela Osborne 's Grenache, but was a bit skeptical on this one. The story was intriguing, pre-prohibition own-rooted vines planted in sand..and growing in the shadow of Ontario Airport east of Los Angeles. Did I mention Cucamonga Valley? But I should have known that Angela wouldn't have picked it if it wasn't special. Greatly exceeded expectations. Color was lighter than some Rosès, but this was no lightweight. Fragrant nose, nice acidity, a bit of earth and stems, but strawberry and just a nice purity to it. Best at cellar temp. Easy quaffer and a joy to drink.

Jul 24th, 2016It takes a visionary to find this old vine, own rooted material in Cucamonga and deliver a composed, energetic singular vision of American Grenache. It shows power in a similar manner that a Blanc de Noirs Champagne would. Behind the elegance and nuance. Similar to all of Angela's wines, crystalline fresh red fruit. Cannot wait to see how this site develops in future vintages.

Jul 24th, 2016This initially confused me because it looked like a rich rose, bit it has good grip for its clarity. A very delicate nose, the initial hit is stemmy and earthy. I wanted to like this wine more.
