Chateau Mont-Redon Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

Wow. We finished off the Janesse and my better half ran out to find another wine store and came back with this! Drinking perfectly even without a decant. Super smooth. Loads of cassis, hints of clove, low tannins and low acid, highish ABV for a CdP. Absolutely delicious.

Bought this at the winery in 2012 and finally drinking it. 2007 is a ballin' vintage.

Luscious with rare steak and roasted potatoes with rosemary. Beautiful cherry and dark berry flavors. Finished the last half glass with 85% cocoa chocolate - yum!

What an amazing location! We really enjoyed our time with Pierre, sampling the mature 05' and bold rich plum notes of the 07'. Finally got through this with Family (Frank, Jen, Able and Jo). Full bodied and rich with a lovely nose.
