For a pinot noir its my newest favorite. This is Aberrant Cellars Confero 2014 pinot noir from Willamette Valley. Spicy Pinot!!! WOW! I love it. It has a bouquet of blueberry pie and leather. The initial palate is pure spice and cherries developing into clove and fig. The finish comes quick and ends with a wonderful sweet finish of blueberry pie as in the very beginning. That is what I call a well rounded Pinot noir! To break it down:
Spice: 8.
Fruit: 8
Butter: 3
Oak: 2
Sweet: 5
Dry: 5

Could use a bit more acidity but this is going to develop into an overachiever in a year or so.

Citrus aroma then flavors of cherries, raspberries and cinnamon. The fruit are carried over by the moderate tannins and fairly low acidity that lets the berries shine through the finish. Really easy to drink too.

Translucent magenta glass with pale pink rim. Mild nose of strawberry, raspberry, pomegranate, mushroom/earth, vanilla and oak. Thin bodied tart acid to the palate of red fruit and earth with small edgy tannins leading to a hot dry medium finish of black pepper. Structure and balance are good but lacks depth for value required of a $30 USD light food buddy.
