Dark opaque purple. The nose erupts from the glass with liquor like notes of sugar plums, crushed rocks, and hot tar. The palate is rich and dense with formidable but surprisingly approachable sweet tannins that absolutely envelope your entire mouth with no sharp edges. For me it's like biting into a juicy dark plum with just the right balance of acidity. Finish actually hits with multiple waves. I imagine this will get better as it all comes together in a couple years. Stunning wine

Have had the 08 and 09 but not the 10 so far so good with my scallop marinara
At least a 95 Plus we'll see how it goes with my veal Normandy and cream sauce
