Bright ruby. Spice-tinged cherry and black raspberry aromas show very good clarity and pick up suggestions of musky flowers and earth with air. Nicely concentrated but nervy on the palate, offering subtly sweet red/dark fruit flavors, exotic chewing tobacco and black cardamom qualities. Notes of dark red fruit, earth, and spice. Light body and medium acidity with smooth tannins. A relatively simple, but pleasant wine. Excellent value at $16. Purchased at Brooklyn Wine Exchange in Brooklyn, NY.
