Aeris
Bianco Centennial Mountain Carricante

The nose has Bruised and older apples, pear, lemon, slight oxidation in a great way. Reminds me of a Joly style wine. Mouth is super lively with high acidity and fresh and stops apples, pear, lemon, slight salinity, crushed rocks, white flowers. Head scratching good wine.

Light straw in color. Citrus, apple, mineral, stone and saline. Lovely mouthfeel and a long finish. The only domestic plot of carricante. Drink it next to the Aeris Sicilian bottling of the same varietal for fun. Worth chasing down. Paired with @Valerie O'Shea paella.

First vintage of some newly planted Sonoma coast Carricante by the Rhys people. Quite nice. Kind of like a slightly fleshier orchardy Albariño. Pair with Seafood.

They pulled it off! Amazing. Takes a few minutes to open up. Then Eastern Etna muntagnuolo with grapes grown in California!

On the nose apricot, white peach, white pepper, and stone. On the palate super silky, lemon verbena, peaches, nectarine and finishes with bitter almond. A touch of butter but not like you are at the movie theaters. Very balanced wine that isn't full malolactic.

Sicilian variety filtered thru the lens of Rhys in CA. Particularly like the saline mineral notes over citrus and white fruit. Excellent stuff and worth seeking out. Compares well to their Sicilian Carricante.
