Very much like an Oloroso Seco, but with a tad more acid and more delicate in flavor. This wine has a range of scents, from toffee to roasted almonds, umami to dried fig to caramel. Dry, but with such fruit backbone, this is a wine which works as an aperitif, a companion to a savory soup (think French onion), or with tapas. Unique and delicious.

Garnacha 100%, oxidized for 6 months in small demijohns in open air, then ages in large barrels with Solera method and indigenous yeasts 100yrs. old. Dried fruits, long, elegant, a wine for meditation. At €6,90 at the winery. Excellent. #DWCC #Montsant
