Vintage 2018 | from magnum | Easygoing wine, ideal for Friday evening diner with spareribs. I find the scores the wine gets a bit disappointing, it gives a lot of joy: cherries, even a bit frivolous in smell and taste. Frivolous is not a word I associate with Malbec. But it is.

This is a 2018 opened July 2020. Definitely black cherry with taste of chocolate and smooth, but not comparable to the better Alamos Malbecs I have had. At $12-13 a bottle you may find better. Not bad for most wine drinkers.

Smells very much like Arg. Malbec. Cooked plums and grape juice. Flavors are balanced and agree-able. It’s fairly forward with the fruit, like-able.

I'm too drunk to climb those mountains, but this a great and simple Malbec. Even though it took 100 years to get correct it's great. I like my wine like I like my women, from south of the United States.
