May 26th, 2018Brilliant wine from John Alban (which I realize is redundant: has anyone had an Alban wine that wasn't brilliant?). Definitely has some age on it - the primary fruits of an Alban wine aren't as prominent - but there's the tell-tale iodine and dried black fruits that you can't miss with one of his wines. Still has plenty of tannins, so this will probably evolve for a few more years...but why wait?

May 2nd, 2017An assault of ripe red berries on the nose. Layered fruit and earth that goes on and on on the palate. Beautiful.
