It was fun to compare this to the 2007 produttori barbaresco. The produttori was all cranberries, roses, and brick dust; this had a darker edge with clearer tar and licorice notes, a fuller body, and more resolved, sweet tannins.

Intense aromas of tobacco and dried roses . Tobacco , earth , spice and plums are all nicely balanced in the mouth. Slightly drying tannins are the only distraction .
