This is very different CA chard. All the comments about tropical fruit are right on. Acid is pretty mild. There is a nice creaminess in the mid-palate that I think comes from some malo, I dont get any vanilla notes from oak. A nice change of pace that I think will be more interesting in a few years.

Lemon and minerals with just a dash of wood, nice tartness and elegance. It fills out with air and becomes a lot like a baby Ramonet.

Haven't had too many Mendocino Chardonnays, and this one will keep me looking for them. Good balance between fruit & acid.

Lemon color. Green apple, lemon, a bit of tropical fruit and slight yeast. Mellower than the Alpine, with laser sharp acidity. Long finish. Great value from Rhys. Wish I bought more. Very nice white in the Old World style.
