The Colour of Spring Sparkling Orange
France
'the colour of spring' 2025 vintage
Nose: odd for an orange wine to actually smell like oranges, but this definitely does. Other notes of nectarine or peach, and something botanical, like a floral tea
Taste: hard to place, slightly umami, very fresh. The bubbles fill the palate quickly, which actually makes it quite difficult to taste.
I love the nose, I'm ok with the palate, I adore a crown cap on a bottle of wine.
Note: when I first opened this, it had an alarmingly acrid note on the palate. After 10 minutes sitting, it's lovely.
